STEWART FRIESEN TO DRIVE CHAD SINON ENTRY IN BPG RACING FREEDOM 76

COWPATTYNATION.COM POSTS $500 FOR HALFWAY LEADER

BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 24, 2010 . . . Stewart Friesen, one of the hottest young talents in dirt track stock car racing, will be driving a Chad Sinon owned BPG Racing entry as he tries to win his first BPG Racing Freedom 76 Classic at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 18th. The 40th annual edition of the event will pay at least $20,000 to the winner and qualifying events leading up to the 76 lap finale will get the green flag at 7 p.m.

The Niagara-by-the Lake, Ontario driver is the current point leader in the Race of Champions DART Dirt Modified Tour circuit. He won the last two ROC events with one coming at Grandview Speedway on July 14th.

Friesen has eight feature wins and is the point leader at Five Mile Point (NY) Speedway. He is also the point leader at Utica-Rome (NY) Speedway with four feature victories.

The popular racer has won 20 Modified stock car races this season including one in Florida early in the year. He also has a 360 Sprint Car victory to his credit at Ransomville, NY Speedway.

Friesen will be racing as a teammate to current Grandview Speedway Modified point leader Duane Howard who has six feature wins on the one-third-mile, banked clay oval this season. Howard will be trying for his fourth Freedom 76 win.

The Canadian racer joins a star studded line-up of racing talent already set to compete in the BPG Racing Freedom 76. Just last week Billy Pauch Sr. announced that would be racing in the event. He has six wins in the Classic. Add in Howard, six time Grandview champion Craig VonDohren, Meme DeSantis, Billy Pauch Jr., Brad Missimer, Mike Gular, Jon Kellner Sr., Jason Hamilton and a host of others and you have the makings of another Classic.

Several other top talents are expected to enter in the next couple of weeks. It is not uncommon to have more than 70 entries for this event.

The popular fan organization, the CowPatty Nation.com, is posting $500 to the leader at the midway point of the 76-lap race. Fans can check out the CowPattyNation.com for the latest area stock car racing news.

TP Trailers (Limerick) have posted $100 for the Hard Charger. Schaefer Motorsports will sponsor the Minuteman 20 and BFP Specialities (Bethel) has signed on as the sponsor of the always exciting Cash Dash.

Support event sponsors are Dave’s Auto Repair (Boyertown), Norm’s Save Station (Graterford), Cornerstone Auto Sales (Fleetwood), Stoudt Auto Sales (Reading), Hoffman Bros. Speed Parts (New Tripoli), Main Racing Engines, Troyer Race Cars and Zeigler Ranalli Development.

Lap sponsorships are available for just $10 ($25 for laps 10,20,30,40,50,60 and 70). Lap sponsors have their names listed in the special edition program book and mentioned on the PA system.

Advertising is also available in the special edition of the program book. Telephone Ernie Saxton Communications at 215.752.7797 for information on contact Ernie Saxton at Esaxton144@aol.com.

Adult tickets for the race are priced at $30, while youngsters 6-11 pay just $10 and kids under 6 are admitted free. Pit passes are $40. Entry fee for race cars is $85 in advance and $110 on race day (the entry fee includes one pit pass).

Saturday, September 25th is the scheduled rain date. If not needed an open competition show of Modifieds and Late Models will be presented starting at 7 p.m.

Grandview Speedway is located at 43 Passmore Road, just a short distance off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. For race information telephone 610.754.7688 or check in at http://www.grandviewspeedway.com/.
