BOWMANVILLE, ON - Live music, driver meet and greets, autograph sessions, historic car and photo displays and racing simulators are just a few of the exciting elements of Mosport’s newest fan feature – The Action Zone.
The Action Zone will be based in the Corner One Paddock and will feature the Action Zone Clubhouse, home to the Canadian Legends of Mosport and a historic car display, featuring several cars that saw action at Mosport over its long and storied past. The Legends, all Canadian Hall of Famer’s include Bill Brack, Ludwig Heimrath Sr., Craig Hill, Horst Kroll, Ross de St. Croix and Eppie Wietzes. Also located in the Action Zone will be the exciting SISCAR and NCI Racing Simulators.
The Action Zone concert stage will be rocking the hits on Friday and Saturday will several Country and Rock acts including Shania Twin, The Carpet Frogs and Frank Soda.
Shania Twin is a Shania Twain tribute act featuring Donna Huber and has been one of the most successful tribute acts in Canada, the United States and Europe. Huber has played for Canadian Troops in Bosnia and Croatia and has performed at the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta for three consecutive years.
Formed in Toronto in 1993, the Carpet Frogs are comprised of lead vocalist Nick Sinopoli, vocalist/guitarist David Love, Jeff Jones on vocals and bass, guitarist Michael Zweig and drummer Steve Fitzsimons. They are known as “Canada’s number one party band.”
Frank Soda made his name with an outrageous stage show, including huge Moonman headwear, an electric light suit and exquisite guitar attack. Now based out of British Columbia, Soda continues to perform as a solo artist.
