MARITIME PRO STOCK TOUR: Donald Chisholm Dominates Parts For Trucks 100

HALIFAX, NS - It only took three laps for the Keltic Ford/Nova Construction Ford Fusion of Donald Chisholm to get past the APM/Atlantic Dodge Dealers Charger of Greg Proude before he would dominate the remainder of the Parts For Trucks 100 at Riverside International Speedway. Chisholm drove away from the pack easily and maintained a wide lead for over 85 green flag laps.

A late race caution on lap 90 forced Chisholm to battle with Shawn Tucker and his Rockico Truck & Trailer/AL Gullison Disaster Kleen Up Chevrolet Impala for the final few laps. Tucker was forced to take second place, and was joined by Kent Vincent’s Vector Aerospace/H&P Glover Dodge Charger on the podium. Shawn Turple in his Dexter Construction/Municipal Group Impala and Proude rounded out the top five.

Proude set fast time in Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials to start the day’s qualifying with a lap time of 14.413 seconds. Even after a shakeup of the fastest eight cars and a ten lap Dartmouth Dodge Dash For The Pole, Proude would earn the right to start in the pole position for the Parts For Trucks 100 later that night. The remainder of the lineup was set through Dartmouth Dodge Heat Races which saw Jerome Kehoe and Jonathan Hicken victorious. Chisholm led 98 laps of the race to receive the Ledwidge Lumber Halfway Award and the Scotia Emergency Most Laps Led Award. Jerome Kehoe was the highest finishing rookie in ninth place to win the EIT Race Radios Rookie of the Race Award.

The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour will head to Scotia Speedworld in Halifax, NS next Saturday, August 21 to make up the rained out Lucas Oil 100 from the start of the season.
